Explore the Ancient Roots Behind Our Food
KUNUKU is a word in Papiamentu, spoken in the Caribbean. It means farmland or countryside - a place where traditional families grow food, raise animals, and escape the rush of city life.
My grandparents had a KUNUKU, and I spent weekends and holidays there caring for the animals, harvesting crops, and learning how to make the most of what nature gave us. That KUNUKU lifestyle taught me self-reliance, simplicity, and the joy of gathering around food with family and friends.
For me, KUNUKU is more than land, it's a symbol of roots, traditions, and connection.
That's what I bring to our cuisine: honest, flavorful food that carries the warmth of heritage and the simplicity of life at the KUNUKU.
